Thin Veneer Installation Live Demo and Training Event With Laticrete

Stoneyard.com, a supplier of natural thin stone, will be featuring its Boston Blend Mosaic at Laticrete Masonry Veneer Installation Contractor Training Days. This three-day event will occur June 10-12, 2013, and will be held in Ogunquit, Maine.

Over the three days, natural stone will be installed on the exterior of a new home. This live demo and contractor training is open to all contractors, architects, homeowners, and resellers who are interested in learning more about the installation of thin stone veneer. This is a free event that includes a daily BBQ lunch and door prizes, www.Stoneyard.com/LD613.

Some of the the most frequently asked questions when it comes to thin veneer center around how to install it. To answer these questions and many others, Stoneyard.com is teaming up with Laticrete International Inc. to provide a live demonstration and contractor training.

“There is no better way to learn than hands on in the field,” says Stoneyard.com's David Croteau. “Over the three days, you will be able to see from start to finish how our natural stone thin veneer is installed in an exterior application. The Laticrete Masonry Veneer Installation System is the perfect choice for installing outside.”

Laticrete International Air & Water Barrier, Hi-Bond Masonry Veneer Mortar, and Premium Pointing Mortar all come with a 25-year warranty. The Boston Blend Mosaic consists of New England fieldstones that have been gathered from local farms and fields. These stones have been exposed to the elements and have gone through many freeze/thaw cycles over the last 100 years.

The demo and training event is going to be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 43 Sea Oaks Lane, Ogunquit, Maine. Parking is available in the Perkins parking lot on Shore Road, Ogunquit, Maine (a five-minute walk from the event).

Stoneyard.com Adds Natural Stone Color Lines

Stoneyard.com, a natural stone products company for residential and commercial construction, announces Nantucket Brown and Newport Mist, two new color lines available in four distinct shapes: Ledgestone, Mosaic, Square & Rectangular, and Ashlar.

The colors are suitable for both interior and exterior applications and are perfect for exterior siding, fireplaces, chimneys, walls, columns, wine cellars, water features, and foundations. Thanks to growing demand and increased production capacity, Stoneyard.com offers up to a 31 percent price reduction on many Thin Stone Veneer products in 2013.

"We are proud to offer American-made, all-natural stone products at competitive price points," says Stoneyard.com VP of Sales David Croteau. "[The year] 2012 was a fantastic year for us, and we've responded by ramping up our production capacity to meet that demand. Our dealers and satisfied customers can all attest to the quality of our Thin Stone Veneer. We believe our new colors, Nantucket Brown and Newport Mist, will prove every bit as successful as existing products such as Boston Blend, Colonial Tan, and Greenwich Gray."

New England Thin Stone Veneer is as light as man-made stone at less than 14 pounds per square foot. It is also only one inch thick, making it an ideal material for countless interior and exterior architectural construction projects. Even better, the product is entirely natural.

Stoneyard.com's product catalog consists of only real stone that has been split, sawn and hand-crafted in the United States. Stoneyard.com sells their natural stone products through a network of authorized dealers throughout the United States and Canada.
